Collection and processing of personal data

Personal data is all information relating to your identity, such as your name, e-mail address or postal address. Unless you have agreed otherwise with Uniper, Uniper only collects simple personal information necessary for our business relationship, such as your name, job title, address, telephone number, e-mail address and other contact information. Such information is only collected when you provide it to Uniper, e.g. when you order information material and use a contact form for this purpose or request it via e-mail, subscribe to an e-mail information service, apply for a job online via our applicant portal or take part in a survey or a competition. Uniper collects this data only directly from you and not from other third parties. The legal basis for the data processing in this respect results from Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Use and disclosure of personal information

Uniper uses your personal information to respond to your inquiry, process your order or provide you with access to special information or offers that you have requested from us. For example, if you complete an online contact form, Uniper will use this information to contact you regarding your interest in the services. The legal basis for the processing in this respect results from Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Uniper may also use personal data from its customers and data from participants for marketing purposes, if they have expressly consented to this pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR. In this case, Uniper will use the information you provide to contact you to discuss your interest in the services and to provide you with information about the company, its subsidiaries and affiliates, such as promotions and events. For this purpose, it may also be necessary for Uniper to disclose your data to group companies or external service providers as part of order data processing. For example, it may be necessary for Uniper to share customer information for customer relationship management purposes.

You have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of the processing until revocation remains unaffected.

Uniper will not sell or otherwise market your personal data to third parties or pass it on for their advertising purposes. If you have expressly consented to this, Uniper will share your information with its subsidiaries and affiliates so that they can contact you directly. You have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of the processing until revocation remains unaffected.

Uniper will only process your data within the European Union. Transfers of data to third countries shall only take place within the framework of the administration of IT systems in accordance with the GDPR-regulations about data processing agreements and only to the extent that a) the transfer is basically permissible and b) the special conditions for a transfer to a third country are met, in particular the data importer guarantees an adequate level of data protection in accordance with the EU model clauses for the transfer of personal data to data processors within the framework of data processing in third countries outside the EEA.

Uniper will store your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the services or information you request and for the duration of our business relationship. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, by making your IP address anonymous on this website, Google will previously shorten your IP address within Member States of the European Union or other countries party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. Google uses pseudonyms for this purpose. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.

This is to improve our website and our products and services as such, because we hope it will give us an insight into what our customers or potential customers/users of our websites are interested in, what features they use and how they use them. The IP address is immediately anonymized when the data is collected.

The following data is recorded: Device manufacturer, device model, device type (e.g. smartphone, tablet), name and version of the operating system, name and version of the browser used; location data (geocoordinates) of the device and accuracy of the location data measured in meters; country and city from which the last known interaction with the ONE cookie took place; a time stamp when the device communicated with the ONE cookie for the first and last time and when geocoordinates were last available.

The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR and § 15 para. 3 TMG. If you do not want the ONE cookie to collect and use the above information, you can of course set your browser preferences to delete the stored cookies or prevent your browser from accepting cookies. We assume that you agree to the setting of cookies if your browser allows this. Furthermore, we expressly point out that the deletion or suppression of the acceptance of cookies is limited, since the browser setting only applies to the currently used browser. Google Tag Manager

The Google Tag Manager is used on this website. The Google Tag Manager is a solution from Google Inc. that enables companies to manage website tags through a single interface. Google Tag Manager is a cookie-free domain that does not collect personally identifiable information. The Google Tag Manager triggers other tags that may themselves collect data. We hereby point this out separately. The Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made by the user at the domain or cookie level, this will remain the case for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

LinkedIn Insight Tag

This website uses the LinkedIn Insight tag. The LinkedIn Insight Tag is a tool of the LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

The LinkedIn Insight tag enables us to collect information about visits to our Web site, including URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser properties, timestamps, and page views. For this purpose, a cookie is set in your browser. The data is encrypted, anonymized within seven days and the anonymized data is deleted within 90 days. Use of the IP address

Computers and devices connected to the Internet are assigned a unique number, called an IP address. Because these numbers are usually assigned in country-based blocks, an IP address can often be used to identify the country (state or city) in which the computer is connecting to the Internet. Google Analytics collects the IP addresses of website visitors. In this way, the website owner can analyze from which parts of the world his visitors come. This method is called geotargeting IP addresses.

Google Analytics does not share actual IP address information with Google Analytics customers. The IP mask method is also used: Website owners who use Google Analytics can set it so that only part of the IP address is used for geotargeting instead of the entire IP address. Website owners generally have access to the IP addresses of their website visitors, regardless of how they use Google Analytics.

Cookies

On the website uniper.energy and all associated subdomains, so-called session cookies are used in order to offer users more convenience. For example, visitors to Uniper’s websites can continue to order brochures even after they have switched to another page in the meantime, without having to re-enter their own data. A session cookie is also used for web analysis.

Randomly selected visitors are asked if they would like to participate in a user satisfaction survey. Whether you reject it or participate will be stored in a permanent cookie so that you will not be shown this request again at a later time.

At no time will personal data be stored in a cookie.
